Typical Scenarios for our Career Strategy Advisors
Joining a New Business
46% of Leadership Transitions fail. Finding the right person is one thing, ensuring their predictive success is another. We help the new Leader to create their 100 day plan and to monitor their progress and stakeholder engagement with a range of proprietary tools including BN 360+. Knowing how to adapt to the new environment, act cautiously, but deliver quickly, is key to a new executive appointment. Our Career Strategy Advisors work with newly appointed executives to help them understand their new organisation, its culture, behaviour and strategy, and then develop a plan for their first weeks and months to ensure they gain rapid traction whilst building effective relationships amongst their peers and teams.
An executive’s first appointment to an Executive Committee role or to the Board for that matter can be a disconcerting and stressful experience with many unforeseen hurdles, Miscalculations can erode colleague respect and confidence in the appointment. Our Career Advisors have both executive and NED Board experience and work closely with new executives to ensure they rapidly navigate their way to success.
Leaving a Business
When you part company with an executive, protecting your reputation, your customers and your existing colleagues is essential. Ideally both parties should want to retain and support a positive understanding embodied in the compromise agreement. We work closely with you to ensure that the process is completed with mutual respect and good will, rational thinking, and a focus on the future rather than the past. This leaves the company to focus on today’s challenges, and the executive to focus on the next chapter and a future of new possibilities.
